Below is a checklist for if you have bad credit and want a new mobile phone. Our Bad Credit Mobile Phone checklist makes sure you have done everything possible to get accepted for a new moble phone.

/ Have you checked that you are on the Voters role this is often used as part of the mobile phone credit checking process. If you are not on the electoral role then you are much more likely to get declined for a mobile phone even if you don’t have a bad credit history.

/ Have you looked at your credit file as this could give some clues into why you have been declined in the first place.

/ Who have you applied too before and when was this. The likely hood is if your circumstances haven’t changed then you won’t get approved by that particular network.

/ Apply for a credit card or other form of contract/lending based product as this will improve your credit rating as long as you follow the rules.

/ When you pick your phone think like the mobile phone network, would you accept yourself on a top of the range handset if you have no proven track record or have had bad credit issues in the past?

/ For the first few months of getting a new mobile contract try a sim only plan with the network of your choice. The reason for this is that the credit check is set alot lower and so there is a much higher chance that you will pass with flying colours. You can then change to a mobile phone 18 or 24 month contract later.

/ What are you waiting for get applying to the best networks for bad credit which are clearly shown around our site.
